This is the option to go to Maras and Moray by bike, instead of by bus! 
Good preparation for the Inca Trail, for example! 
A 1-day mountain-biking-trip near Cusco, cycling through the Andes, 
to the town of Maras, and the experimental terraces of Moray. 
The legend sais, that the first inhabitants of this village were servants of prince Ayar Kachi, lord of the salt (and 1 of the Ayar brothers), 
who changed into a mountain, which is said to be filled with salt. 
Moray is a very special archeological complex, 
consisting of agricultural terrace-systems, in the shape of circles. 
This place is said to have been an agricultural laboratory, where the Incas did research, experiments, and came to many crop-improvements.  
Some people say, that the terraces weren’t constructed by men, 
but by UFO’s, leaving their imprint in the Earth. 
They say that, one day, the UFO’s will come back, 
to pick up and save (from the harsh circumstances on the Earth, 
at that moment) anyone present at that moment. 
Always and everywhere on the planet, 
people have built, at least the main parts of each building, surface-úp, 
but this is a building, that goes surface-dówn. 
And almost in perfect circles. 
Suitable for beginners and up, we travel around 35km on dirt roads and single track, 
passing through small villages. 
With fantastic views of the valley, snowy mountains and different kinds of birds flying around, 
you will be reconnected with nature. 
We will have lunch at Moray, and then continue biking to the Maras salt-mines. 
This is the perfect combination of an excursion, with a spectacular biking-tour.

At 8:00am we will pick you up from your hotel, to go, by bus, into the direction of the Sacred Valley, 
passing by Chinchero until Cruzpata (3,200m.a.s.l.).  
Here, we will begin our biking-tour. 
We´ll pass Huaypo Lake, Moray’s archaeological site, 
and Maras’ salt mines. Finally, we’ll enjoy some downhill-biking to Pichingoto, in the Sacred Valley. 
This trip is for beginners, as well as experienced bikers. 
You can choose to ride on asphalt or dirt road. 
We will do the 35km in approximately 5 hours.
