                                                                                            Machu Picchu by Car, 2days/1night

                                                                                            This is a more economic option to visit 7th World wonder Machu Picchu, lost city of the Inca,
                                                                                            taking the bus instead of the train, over another route. 
                                                                                            Relatively the most economic option, however, would be our 3-days-option (see menu above), 
                                                                                            for that experience combines the visit to Machu Picchu with the complete tour through the Sacred Valley, 
                                                                                            plus the beautiful sites of Maras and Moray! 
                                                                                            Machu Picchu, of which many secrets remain unexplained in the open, is said to have been discovered by Hiram Bingham, who was actually just the excavator and marketer of this beautiful place (while he was really looking for the mysterious ruins of Vilcabamba), while the local People had known of Machu Picchu´s existence all the time.

                                                                                            During the rainy season (especially Jan-Mar), this option sometimes is not available, 
                                                                                            concerning the risk of mudslides. 

                                                                                            Machu Picchu day 1: Cusco – Santa Teresa – Hydro – Aguas Calientes

                                                                                            We will pick you up at your hostel in Cusco, at 7:30h. 
                                                                                            The tour will start with a ride to Ollantaytambo, 
                                                                                            where we will have a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area, 
                                                                                            as we take a short, approx. 30 minute break. 

                                                                                            From there, we will continue a long, winding path, up to "Malaga-Pass" (4,316m.a.s.l.). 
                                                                                            From that vantage point, we will see some of the most amazing landscapes that Peru has to offer.

                                                                                            After a brief stop, we will begin our descent into the thick jungle, 
                                                                                            passing through different micro-climates, that combine the paradisiacal landscapes of 
                                                                                            the majestic snow-capped peaks with the hot, tropical entrance to the rainforest. 

                                                                                            We will continue on in the direction of Santa Maria, which is located at an altitude of 1,575m.a.s.l.. 
                                                                                            We will take a moment to rest here, before continuing on to the small town of Santa Teresa, 
                                                                                            where a delicious lunch will be awaiting us at approx. 14:00h. 
                                                                                            There will be a variety of different foods available, to suit every taste.

                                                                                            Afterwards, at around 15:45h, we will return to the route in the direction of the train-station, 
                                                                                            at the nearby Hydroelectric Plant. 

                                                                                            The train will have us in Aguas Calientes by 19:30h, at which point you will be taken to your hostel. 
                                                                                            If we have any extra time, we can also take a relaxing dip in the natural hot springs. 

                                                                                            At 20:00h, though, it will be time to enjoy a hearty dinner along with the guide, 
                                                                                            who will be taking you to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. At that time, 
                                                                                            he will have a chance to go explain you the plan for the following day, and answer any questions. 
                                                                                            After that, we’ll have a delicious sleep in our hostel. 

                                                                                            Machu Picchu day 2: Aguas Calientes - Sunrise at Machu Picchu – Hydro – Santa Teresa - Cusco

                                                                                             Our breakfast will be served from 4:30h. 
                                                                                            The guided tour of the site will begin at 6:00h and will last for at least 2 hours. 
                                                                                            Afterwards, you will be able to enjoy some free time, until approximately 12:30h, 
                                                                                            which is the recommended time to begin returning down the mountain to the train-station. 

                                                                                            The train back to the Hydroelectric Plant will be leaving Aguas Calientes at 13:30h.
                                                                                            Upon our arrival at Hydroelectric, we will transfer from the train to a private van, which will take us to Santa Teresa. There, we will have a one hour break for one last chance to get some food, 
                                                                                            or use the restroom, before we undertake the final part of the ride, back to Cusco. 
                                                                                            We will arrive to Cusco around 22:00h, approx..
