                                                                                            Titicaca Lake, 2days/1night

                                                                                            This is the experience that we always suggest to anyone who can take time to enjoy, 
                                                                                            for we will visit not only Titicaca´s  floating islands of ´Los Uros´, but also `Amantaní´ and `Taquile´, 
                                                                                            and will stay, each one, couple or family, for the night, 
                                                                                            at a small house of a typical family, on one of the islands. 

                                                                                            The floating islands of the Uros.

                                                                                            The floating islands of ‘The Uros’ lay on the altitude of 3,812m.a.s.l., at 10km from Puno’s harbour (journey of 30 minutes). Here live about 600 People. 
                                                                                             The Uros is an archipel of more than 40 islands, each one habituated, 
                                                                                            according to its’ size, by 2, 5, 15 or 30 families. 
                                                                                            These islands (as well as the boats) are constructed of pure Totora-reeds, 
                                                                                             by their own inhabitants. This reed also serves as a food. 

                                                                                            The island of Amantaní

                                                                                            This island is of great social, ethnical, panoramic and environmental importance, 
                                                                                            with huge handycrafts-potential. It lays at about 3 hours from the floating Uros. 
                                                                                            There are 2 small, sacred mountains on this island: 
                                                                                            "Pacha Tata" and "Pacha Mama", where we can see archeological remains, and places of worship. 
                                                                                            The island’s rough nature gives beautiful panoramas, in contrast with the great lake. 

                                                                                            The island of Taquile

                                                                                            This fascinating island in the Lake of Titicaca lays at 35km from the town of Puno. 
                                                                                            The panorama is really impressive, 
                                                                                            and its community lives in almost perfect harmony with nature. 
                                                                                            This community, where a kind of communism is custom, 
                                                                                            even until these times, manages to live their traditional way. 

                                                                                            Titicaca day 1: Puno – The Uros (floating islands) - Amantaní

                                                                                            07:30h        Pick-up at your hostel
                                                                                            08:00h       Departure from Puno harbour, leaving to The Uros
                                                                                            08:25h        Arriving at the first island, the inhabitants will show us their ancestral activities. 
                                                                                            09:25h        Departure to the second Uros’ island
                                                                                            10:00h        At about this moment, we will leave to the island of Amantaní
                                                                                            13:00h        Arriving at Amantaní, local families will await us, 
                                                                                            to take us into their houses,  for this night. 
                                                                                            We will have the opportunity to enjoy some moments of joy and laughter with them. 

                                                                                            13:30h       Lunch, and relax
                                                                                            16:00h       Walk to the ceremonial temple of “Pachatata”, with beautiful views over the lake, 
                                                                                            watching the Sun set. 
                                                                                            17:45h       Return to our this-day-families
                                                                                            19:00h       Dinner with the family
                                                                                            20:00h       Opportunity to put on some typical clothes, 
                                                                                            and do typical dances with the whole group, and all families. This gives really nice pictures! 

                                                                                            Titicaca day 2: Amantaní – Taquile - Puno

                                                                                            08:00h      Leaving from Amantaní-harbour to the island of Taquile 
                                                                                            09:00h      About now, we should be arriving on Taquile, 
                                                                                            where we’ll have a guided, 30 minute walk, until arriving at a community-house, 
                                                                                            where we can see (and buy, if you like) the local textiles. 
                                                                                            11:30h      Delicious, typical lunch, with lake-view.
                                                                                            12:30h     Around this time, we will walk about 20 minutes, 
                                                                                            to the village’s main square. Here, we will have some free time
                                                                                            13 :00h     Descent to the other harbour, 
                                                                                            where our boat will be waiting for us. 
                                                                                            13 :30h     Departure to Puno: this will be a highly relaxing boat trip, 
                                                                                            with enough time to ask the guide anything more that you want to know! 
                                                                                            16:30h      Arrival at Puno-harbourIncluded- All transport- Professional, bilingual guide- Entrances to the islands of The Uros, Amantaní and Taquile- Lunch and dinner (day 1), and breakfast (day 2). 

                                                                                            Not included: Lunch on the island of Taquile.
